Background

More than 15 years in residential construction and site work before moving into inspection — residential and civil construction in New Zealand, residential builds in the UK, and over eight years of new homes and renovations in Canada. Works independently, with no ties to real estate agents or sellers.

What to Expect

  • Before. A confirmation with the time and details follows booking. Specific concerns about the property can be raised ahead of the visit.
  • On site. Up to three hours, visual and non-invasive. Thermal imaging and moisture testing help flag hidden moisture and insulation problems.
  • Walkthrough. Clients are welcome to attend. Joining near the end gives a walkthrough of the key findings, with time for questions.
  • Report. A written report with photos and practical recommendations, delivered within 24 hours.
  • After. Follow-up questions about the report are answered once it has been read.

Not a code, bylaw or permit compliance inspection. Asbestos and mould testing, water, air and soil quality, and repair cost estimates are excluded unless agreed in advance.
